I'm so sad to see this, but my thoughts are with panader0 and all who care for him. May his journey be peaceful and as pain-free as humanly possible.

Been here almost 20 years, too.

... I just learned of the passing of a friend a few years younger than I am. I'm on the shady side of 76.
I will generate the warmest support I can muster, and sympathies to his loved ones. I will aim them westward.

Sending gentle, calming energy to panader0 and his family. He was here on DU long before I found you all, my DU family, and I’ve enjoyed his posts. I wish him an easy transition and peace and comfort for his family.

panader0 has been on this board for a long time, and I always looked forward to his posts. That stroke he had last year sounded like a very bad one. It can be hard to come back from that kind of seizure.

I always hope for a miracle while knowing I’m being foolish. Still, I remember what David Ben Gurion was supposed to have said: “He who does not believe in miracles is not a realist.”

So I’ll continue to be foolish for a while longer.

The desert in spring is beautiful with all the blooms ..the obit was a window to a lovely soul. RIP 💐
